Avgoustos joined the Autograph Sound Design team in 2008. Avgoustos started his career in the world of sound as an assistant recording engineer and producer in Cyprus. Alongside his studio work he toured Europe with the internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble Diastasis as a sound designer and operator. His career continued in the UK at the MTV Broadcast Services and later at the Royal College of Music in London, as the Studio Manager. During his five years there, he also designed and taught the Music Technology course at Imperial College.
Since joining Autograph, Avgoustos’ theatre work includes: Monty Python’s Spamalot (UK tour), Avenue Q (UK tour), Legally Blonde (UK tour), Sondheim at 80 concerts of Merrily We Roll Along and Company (Queens Theatre), Holding the Man, Being Shakespeare (Trafalgar Studio 1), Pygmalion (Garrick Theatre), Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk (Hackney Empire) and the Laurence Olivier Awards in 2009, 2010 and 2011. As an associate designer he has worked on Imagine This (New London Theatre), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK tour), Too Close to the Sun (Comedy Theatre), The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Vaudeville Theatre) and Passion (Donmar Warehouse). Avgoustos has had the privilege to work closely with artists such as Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Helmut Lachenmann and Simon Callow and directors such as Susie McKenna, Christopher Luscombe, Tom Cairns and Philip Prowse. Future work includes: Cinderella (Hackney Empire), Laurence Olivier Awards 2012, Open Air Theatre – 2012 Season.
